Please excuse the poor photo. You can't see it in this picture, but the white embossed background is the slightest bit shimmery from a pearl mist. I also lined the envelope with the same embossed white paper (I just love a lined envelope!). I used my Cuttlebug for the embossing and cut the "jingle" with my Cricut.

"BIG" is the key
This is a very simple card to make and it has a big impact. Don't you just love the Papertrey Ink cardstock? I just love that color!

Papertrey Ink card
I just LOVE the ornament die from Papertrey Ink. This is one of my favorite cards. I love the rustic look of the patterned papers on the kraft cardstock.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - September 2010
Hello all. I'm so excited to join the blog hop this month. This is my first! I'm sort of new to blogging and I'm so excited to join in and share with all of you. I've gotten SO MANY wonderful ideas from SO MANY stampers - it was hard to decide what to post ! ! I learned this cutout technique from Kristina Werner. I've used it a couple of times for cards and have just loved the results. I have also learned alot from Heather Nichols and the Papertrey Ink site and forum. I made the little Trick or Treat bags that Heather created and just love them. I would never have thought to use glassine bags that way. How creative! I could spend hours going thru all of the ideas and the galleries. Anyway, hope you like my card. I can't wait to visit all of your blogs. Happy Hopping to all!

All Occasion Card - Kraft/green strips
It's kind of hard to tell from this photo what this card really looks like. It's a very simple card. You can't quite see the gold "stitch" marks - they really add to the interest of the card.

Halloween Card - Witches feet
This card is completely different than what I had in mind when I began it. It sort of took on a life of it's own. Funny how that sometimes happens. The patterned paper is from Echo Park and the buttons are Papertrey Ink.

Halloween Card
My first Halloween card of the year. The papers are from Echo Park, the embossing powder is Zing, and the polka dot border stamp is from Papertrey Ink. The halloween stamp is one that I recently picked up at Michael's. I stamped the dot border on the envelope as well - I always like to somehow tie the envelope to the card. Sometimes I line it with matching or complementary paper, and sometimes I just stamp it with whatever the card was stamped with. So cute! I'm about to make some cute "Treat Bags" - I'll post them soon. I LOVE to make these things, but sometimes wonder what to do with them all. I mean, how many people can you send a Halloween card to? haha No matter, I'm sure they will all find good homes eventually!
Cute baby card
Inspired by a card designed by Michelle Wooderson |
I love this card! I made it for a young friend of mine who is about to have her first baby - a boy named Joshua. The card and envelope are kraft paper. The patterened papers are from Papertrey Ink, as are the stamps (Bitty Baby Blessings). The envelope flap is also stamped with the sailboat image. Hope you like it.

Fun Everyday Cards
Here are two cards that I really like. I used the Martha Stewart circle cutter on the top one. I wasn't sure I'd like that cutter, but it seems to work well once you get the hang of it. If the piece of paper you are cutting is small, it's helpful to put a piece of removable adhesive underneath before you cut the circles. The bottom card was inspired by a card that Kristina Werner made and uses a Bella Blvd stamp set called Flirty. I love it!
